Classical Tibetan 1
26 –30 December 2024 (5 days)
In cooperation with the University of Malaga (UMA), the International Institute for Tibetan and Asian Studies (ITAS) is offering a five-day intensive Tibetan language course. We are happy to offer a possibility to get started with Classical Tibetan. The course can be attended on-site or online.
During these five packed days, our lectures and tutorials will help you understand the basics of Classical Tibetan grammar.
Prerequisite: Knowledge of the Tibetan alphabet and Wylie transliteration as taught in our course about the Tibetan alphabet. If you have not taken this course, ITAS can provide you with the material for self-study. Just write to us via info@itas-uni.eu.
Date: 26 to 30 Dec 2024 (5 days) Lecture: 10am-1pm CET (every day) Tutorial: 4pm-7pm CET (every day) Online exam: second half of February (exact date to be determined)
All sessions will be recorded and accessible to the participants of the course at least until the exam date.

Students on a low budget who struggle financially to take part in the course, may apply for the reduced price via asiacatedra@uma.es explaining their situation. A committee will decide about the applications for the reduced price on 13 December 2024. You will be informed by then, but you need to register before that via the link below.
Course requirements: fluent spoken English, knowledge of Tibetan alphabet Wylie transliteration
