Classical Tibetan 2

In cooperation with the University of Malaga (UMA), the International Institute for Tibetan and Asian Studies (ITAS) is offering a five-day intensive Tibetan language course. We are happy to offer a possibility to continue with this second level of Classical Tibetan. The course can be attended on-site or online.
During these five packed days, our lectures and tutorials will help you understand further aspects of Classical Tibetan grammar.
Prerequisite:
- Knowledge of our course “Classical Tibetan 1” or equivalent knowledge from elsewhere.
- Be familiar with the Tibetan alphabet and Wylie transliteration as taught in our course about the Tibetan alphabet.
Date: 21 to 25 April 2025 (5 days)
Lecture: 10am-1pm CEST (every day)
Tutorial: 4pm-7pm CEST (every day)
Online exam: some weeks after the course (exact date to be determined)
All sessions will be recorded and made accessible to the participants of the course at least until the exam date.
Credits: 2 ECTS points

Reduced price: 200€
Students on a low budget who struggle financially to take part in the course, may apply for the reduced price via the scholarship section in the registration form. A committee will decide about the applications for the reduced price before you receive the payment link.

Important!!!
Please note, that this course is (almost) directly preceded by the course “Classical Tibetan 1”. In this “Classical Tibetan 2” course we want to merge the groups who have taken “Classical Tibetan 1” in December 2024 and in April 2025.
This course is the second in a series of Classical Tibetan courses which we plan to offer in the coming months and years.
